A woman asked me the other day, Werner Herzog, why do you never wear a watch?  I replied, because the time is now.  What about later, when it is not now, she asked.  Now, now, now, I said.  After thinking about this for some time, she told me that when she went home that evening, she would throw all of her watches into the sea.
